Dr. Shetty received his preliminary medical education from Bangalore Medical College. He worked in the Dept of Medicine KMC, Manipal before leaving for the UK where he specialized in the filed of Ophthalmology and worked for 15 years at various reputed hospitals in England. At present he is running a flourishing ophthalmic private practice at Udupi, South Kanara.
Second-Year Fellow Shilpa was raised in England and India. After medical school she trained in England for two years prior to beginning internal medicine residency training at Griffin Hospital, a Yale-New Haven affiliated hospital in Connecticut. It was during residency that her interest in endocrinology and in particular diabetes was piqued and has continued to grow. She continued at Griffin as an academic hospitalist for a few years prior to starting her fellowship in endocrinology at UT Southwestern. She plans to focus her research on obesity, insulin resistance, and diabetes management. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and reading.
Dr. Kaup studied medicine at the well-reputed Mysore Medical College. Soon after this he moved to the United States where he became board certified in the field of Internal Medicine. He has over 35 years of experience in the field of internal medicine and cardiology and is currently involved in a very successful office based private practice at St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Shetty received his MBBS degree from Gulbarga Medical College and then went on to pursue a career in the filed of anesthesiology. He trained and worked in the UK for 8 years following which he proceeded to the United States and completed his residency in anesthesiology in the Oklahoma University of Health Sciences and is presently in private practice with an acknowledged group of anesthesiologists at Oklahoma city, USA.
Shohan Shetty, MD is a board certified surgeon specializing in advanced laparoscopy and other minimally invasive surgical techniques, including all forms of general and weight-loss/bariatric surgery. Dr. Shetty attended medical school in India and, after earning his medical degree, trained in the United Kingdom prior to starting residency in general surgery at Saint Mary’s Hospital. During his residency, Dr. Shetty completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Yale School of Medicine in surgical education and simulation training.
